UdeM launches Canada's first ever programme for foreign pharmacists

Thirty students from South America, North Africa, Europe and Asia who are joining Université de Montréal this autumn have a special background - they're pharmacists who've already had several years of professional experience before arriving in Canada. The professional orders require that they undertake three or four years of study, plus internships, before they will be permitted to return to their career. UdeM's new Programme d'appoint pour les pharmaciens étrangers (PAPE), the first of its kind in Canada, will enable them to cut the time in half.
