Great athletes must depend on more than physical agility – they must rely on sharp reflexes and mental prowess. With that in mind, two Université de Montréal researchers have created a simulation program to enhance sports performance. Jocelyn Faubert, a professor at the School of Optometry, teamed up with postdoctoral fellow David Tinjust to test their innovation tool among a dozen professional athletes. Doctors Faubert and Tinjust have copyrighted their simulator and plan to develop a portable version to market that will allow athletes to polish their game where they want, when they want, using a technology invented at the Université de Montréal.
