Support bolsters integration and quality of life at university

The Université de Montréal is grateful to businessman Paul Foster, president of Unlimited Skills Inc., for generously funding two new scholarships that will support disabled students in advancing their studies. The scholarships will bear the names of two members of the board of directors at Unlimited Skills Inc.: Gary Lussey and Ron Constantin.

Each $2,000 scholarship will be granted annually, based on merit, by an awards committee composed of representatives designated by Unlimited Skills Inc. and by the Université de Montréal’s Office for Disabled Students. To finance these scholarships, Unlimited Skills Inc. created two $60,000 endowments that will be administered by Université de Montréal on behalf of student services. This latest gift brings to 13 the number of annual scholarships financed by Unlimited Skills Inc. at the Université de Montréal.

“This contribution is another sign of the lasting commitment of the desire of Unlimited Skills Inc. to facilitate the integration of disabled students into the university environment,” says Paul Foster, president of Unlimited Skills Inc. / Mille et un métiers inc. “I particularly wish to thank the Université de Montréal’s Office for Disabled Students for its unwavering support to improve the quality of life of students on the Université de Montréal campus.”

“Thanks to this gift from Unlimited Skills Inc., the Université de Montréal will move forward in its commitment to strengthen equal access and better integration of higher education for disabled people,” says Luc Vinet, rector of the Université de Montréal.

In addition to the annual scholarships offered by Unlimited Skills Inc., the organization has supported several projects at the institution, such as the purchase and implementation of a campus adapted transportation service and construction of an elevator for persons with reduced mobility at Université de Montréal’s sports centre, the CEPSUM. Over the years, Unlimited Skills Inc. has contributed over $1 million towards improving access for disabled persons at the Université de Montréal.
